In a press conference ahead of the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, Red Bull team principal Christian Horner addressed the ongoing suspension controversy surrounding a female employee, urging Formula 1 to shift its focus back to racing. Horner, who is also the CEO of Oracle Red Bull Racing, called for moving forward and looking ahead despite the investigation.

Last month, an independent investigation was launched into Horner, with Red Bull's parent company declining to provide detailed information regarding the reason behind the investigation. The Associated Press reported that it involved alleged misconduct towards a team employee. However, Horner has consistently denied any wrongdoing and aimed to emphasize that it is business as usual for the Red Bull team.

During the press conference, Horner declined to confirm or deny reports of the employee's suspension and stated that he couldn't comment on confidential matters within the company. Sky News, the BBC, The Athletic, and ESPN have confirmed the suspension, adding further weight to the controversy.

Horner emphasized that a grievance had been raised, fully investigated, and subsequently dismissed. He expressed his belief that excessive attention had been given to the matter by different media outlets, suggesting that it was now time to move on and focus on the upcoming races.

On February 28, Red Bull officially announced that the complaint had been dismissed and the investigation concluded. The company reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining the highest workplace standards and stated that the investigation had been fair, rigorous, and impartial. The identity of the complainant remains undisclosed, but they have the option to appeal the decision.

Despite the controversy, Red Bull and Horner have had an impressive start to the season, with drivers Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez finishing in first and second place, respectively, at the opening race in Bahrain. As they prepare for the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, the team aims to continue their success and defend their reigning driver's and constructors' championships.

Verstappen, praising Horner's track record, expressed confidence in his leadership abilities and focused on the team's performance. Horner has led the Red Bull F1 team since 2005 and has achieved remarkable success, including 113 race wins and seven drivers' championships.

Outside of the racing world, Horner is married to former pop star Geri Halliwell, known as Ginger Spice of Spice Girls. Their presence together in the paddock at the Bahrain Grand Prix last weekend sparked attention from fans and media alike. In addition, Horner was honored with the Commander of the Order of the British Empire title in the previous year.

Despite the suspension controversy, Red Bull and Horner remain determined to continue their winning streak and cement their position as dominant forces in Formula 1. As the season progresses, all eyes will be on the team's performance on the track, with hopes of further victories and championship titles.
