### Former 'Real Housewives' Star Sonja Morgan Sparks Controversy Over Restaurant Bill

Ex-“Real Housewives of New York City” star Sonja Morgan was at the center of a heated incident at Noho hotspot Tucci on Saturday night after the restaurant declined to waive her $1,000 bill. Sources revealed that Morgan, who believed she would not have to pay, called the restaurant owner, Max Tucci, and demanded the bill be forgiven because she’s a single mother, among other reasons.

An eyewitness recounted to Page Six that Morgan became hysterical upon receiving the check, claiming her celebrity status exempted her from paying the bill. "She was absolutely hysterical and refused to pay. It was like she was filming a 'Housewives' episode, shouting, 'I'm a celebrity!'" the source said.

Despite her initial refusal, Morgan settled her bill, including a tip, by Monday. Nonetheless, the disruption led to Morgan being blacklisted from the restaurant. Insiders noted that Morgan had previously enjoyed complimentary meals at Tucci and had assumed this visit would follow suit.

Morgan’s evening began on shaky ground, as she had reserved a table for three but arrived with a party of five during a bustling Saturday night. The group was at the restaurant for dinner before heading to her cousin Jack Morgan's 30th birthday celebration at Boom Boom.

The situation escalated when the waiter presented the nearly $1,000 bill. A spectator noted, "She was like, 'I don't pay; people pay me [to go to their restaurants].' She was absolutely entitled and caused a scene about not paying." However, after speaking with Tucci, it became apparent that no free meal arrangement had been made.

Morgan later attributed the incident to a “clear miscommunication,” explaining she believed she was dining in exchange for a promotional post and had informed the staff accordingly. Nevertheless, Tucci defended his decision, stating that Morgan's actions were unfair to his staff and the restaurant's current financial strains.

"It’s not about me. Don’t do that to my staff," Tucci told Page Six. "The cost of everything is so expensive right now [for restaurants], and she’s just taking advantage.... There was no arrangement for her to have a comped dinner. She just wanted free food and service."

Morgan’s misunderstanding has led to her being barred from the establishment, marking a dramatic turn in what was intended to be an evening of celebration.
