In a recent legal response, Sean "Diddy" Combs has denied accusations of gang-raping a 17-year-old girl in 2003. This statement comes amidst a lawsuit that was the fourth sexual assault suit filed against Combs last year. According to court documents obtained by The Daily Beast, Combs' attorneys emphasized that he has "never participated in, witnessed, or was or is presently aware of any misconduct" relating to the plaintiff.
The lawsuit, which includes photos of the plaintiff with Combs, alleges that the rapper, along with music executive Harve Pierre and another unnamed defendant, "sex trafficked" and sexually assaulted the teenager after plying her with drugs and alcohol in a studio bathroom. The accuser, known as "Ms. Doe," claimed that the incident has caused her significant emotional distress for two decades.
Combs' legal team argued that the lack of evidence due to the substantial passage of time since the alleged incident compromises their ability to fully defend against the claims. On the other side, the accuser's attorney, Douglas Wigdor, expressed that the allegations against the defendants by multiple women are deeply troubling and stand on their own merit.
In 2023, Combs faced a series of lawsuits within two months, including accusations of raping and beating his ex-partner Cassie, drugging and raping a college student, and raping a Jane Doe with fellow R&B star Aaron Hall. The ongoing legal battle sheds light on the complexities and challenges surrounding allegations of sexual assault in the entertainment industry.
