**PS5 Pro Delivers a Double Performance Boost for Naraka: Bladepoint, Says Producer**

The excitement around Sony's PS5 Pro continues to build, with developers eagerly discussing the advancements and benefits of the mid-generation console refresh. We had an insightful conversation with Yongcheng Liu, Console Version Producer of the popular battle royale game Naraka: Bladepoint, produced by NetEase ThunderFire Universe X Studio, to understand how the game benefits from the new hardware.

According to Liu, the PS5 Pro runs Naraka: Bladepoint twice as fast as the base PS5 version, marking a significant performance improvement. This enhanced speed is particularly valuable for such a competitive game, where every millisecond counts. Liu highlighted two key features: PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR) and Variable Rate Shading (VRS), both contributing to the game's optimized performance on the PS5 Pro. Specifically, VRS substantially decreases rendering time, which is essential for maintaining smooth gameplay.

When comparing the new console to its predecessor, Liu noted that although the team lacks the experience of transitioning from the PS4 to the PS4 Pro, the substantial hardware improvements would undoubtedly facilitate smoother integration of advanced graphical technologies. Frequent game updates, boasting significant content additions every 2-3 weeks, allow the team to push the envelope in terms of visual and performance upgrades.

On the PS5 Pro, Naraka: Bladepoint achieves 4K resolution at 60FPS without utilizing upscaling technologies—a feat not possible on the base PS5. In its Balanced Mode with PSSR enabled, the PS5 Pro delivers superior visual quality while maintaining stable performance. Although some variations in frame rates still exist between the PS5 Pro and high-end PC configurations, the game offers multiple graphical modes to cater to diverse player preferences.

Liu shared details about the various modes available on the PS5 Pro:
- **Quality Mode:** Provides native 4K ultra-clear visuals, aiming for the best visual experience.
- **Balanced Mode:** Strikes a harmony between visual quality and fluidity, maintaining 4K resolution.
- **Frame Rate Mode:** Ensures the highest frame rates with native 1080P visuals, catering to players wanting smoother gameplay experiences.

Discussing the comparison between PSSR and NVIDIA's DLSS, Liu confirmed that Naraka: Bladepoint uses PSSR and sees comparable visual performance between the two technologies, with only minor differences in small details. This alignment ensures that players experience consistent high-quality visuals during gameplay.

Lastly, Liu acknowledged concerns regarding the PS5 Pro's pricing but emphasized that the superior GPUs and CPUs offer developers greater flexibility to incorporate cutting-edge graphics technologies. Despite the cost, the game remains supported on both PS5 and PS5 Pro, ensuring all players enjoy a great experience with Naraka: Bladepoint.
