### PFL Hosts Spectacular Battle of the Giants in Saudi Arabia
The Professional Fighters League (PFL) today brings an electrifying fight card to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with the "Battle of the Giants" Super Fights captivating fans worldwide. The event takes place at The Mayadeen, starting with prelims on ESPN+ at 1:30 p.m. ET, followed by the main card on ESPN+ PPV at 4:00 p.m. ET.
Headlining the event is a titanic clash between former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou and reigning PFL heavyweight tournament winner Renan Ferreira. Ngannou, holding a record of 17-3, hasn't seen action inside the Octagon since his unanimous decision victory over Ciryl Gane in January 2022. Departing UFC as the reigning champion due to contractual disputes, Ngannou criticized the restrictive terms imposed by the organization. His move to the PFL in May 2023 marked a new chapter, although he faced challenges in the boxing ring, having lost to Tyson Fury in October 2023 and suffering a knockout by Anthony Joshua earlier this year.
Renan Ferreira, with a record of 13-3-0-3, enters this contest in peak form. In November 2023, Ferreira clinched the PFL heavyweight tournament title and a $1 million prize with a knockout win over Denis Goltsov. He further solidified his status by securing a 21-second knockout against Bellator heavyweight champion Ryan Bader in February, earning the "PFL Champion vs. Bellator Champion" Super Belt.
In the co-main event, Bellator women's featherweight champion Cris Cyborg faces off against two-time PFL tournament winner Larissa Pacheco at 145 pounds. Cyborg, with an impressive 27-2-0-1 record, remains unbeaten since her loss to Amanda Nunes in December 2018. The 39-year-old's last match saw her secure a TKO victory over Cat Zingano in October 2023, maintaining an 81 percent finish rate with 22 stoppage wins.
Larissa Pacheco, sporting a 23-4 record, carries a 10-fight winning streak into the bout. Since losing to Kayla Harrison in the 2019 PFL lightweight tournament finals, Pacheco has claimed two PFL tournament titles, including a victory over Harrison in 2022. With 19 of her 23 wins by stoppage, Pacheco boasts an 83 percent finish rate, demonstrating her potent finishing ability in the cage.
As the fighters prepare to step into the spotlight at The Mayadeen, fans eagerly anticipate a night of thrilling combat, with Super Fights titles on the line for both main and co-main events.
