In a heartfelt video message released on Friday, Princess Catherine, also known as Kate Middleton, revealed that she has been diagnosed with cancer and is currently undergoing chemotherapy. The announcement came nearly three months after she first shared news of her diagnosis with the public.

During his visit to Portsmouth, England, to commemorate the 80th anniversary of D-Day and honor World War II veterans, Prince William was asked about Kate's health by one of the veterans. With a sincere smile, William reassured the gentleman that Kate is indeed getting better. He mentioned that she would have loved to be present at the event alongside him.

Kate Middleton, who shares three children with Prince William, courageously disclosed her cancer diagnosis in a video message back in March. The specific type of cancer has not been revealed. Kensington Palace confirmed that she began a course of preventative chemotherapy in late February. Since making her diagnosis public, Kate has understandably stepped back from her official duties and remained out of the public eye.

The palace has assured the public that Kate will return to her royal duties only after receiving clearance from her medical team. In the meantime, Prince William has provided support and taken a temporary break from his public duties to be by her side. He made a comeback in mid-April, visiting a nonprofit organization where he received heartfelt well-wishes for Kate from volunteers.

In a twist of fate, Prince William also stepped in for his father, King Charles III, during the commemorative ceremony for D-Day. King Charles III was diagnosed with cancer this year and did not attend the event due to health reasons. A royal source emphasized the need to prioritize Charles' recovery and explained that each event and day has been carefully evaluated to ensure his well-being.

The specifics of Charles' cancer and his ongoing treatment have not been publicized by the palace. However, it was mentioned that Charles had been approved to reduce his public-facing duties during his recovery. He joined Queen Camilla and Prince William in meeting with veterans in Portsmouth on Wednesday.

As both Kate and Charles focus on their health battles, their dedication and resilience shine through. The public continues to send warm wishes and hopes for their swift recoveries. The royal family's determination to support one another during challenging times serves as an inspiration to all.
