Prince William kicked off his weekend in Wales by indulging in a shot of whiskey at The Turf Pub in Wrexham. The British royal visited the pub as part of the St. David's Day celebrations, the feast day of Wales' patron saint. While enjoying his drink, William also had the opportunity to meet and toast with actor Rob McElhenney, who is in town to welcome the prince.

During his visit, William not only interacted with the pub's staff and community members, but also representatives from local charities. The prince graciously received a daffodil, a traditional symbol of St. David's Day, from a young girl named Florence Boyle, who greeted him with a high-five.

Afterwards, William made his way to the Racecourse Ground, the stadium of the Wrexham Association Football Club. As the president of the Football Association in England, William received a personalized Wrexham jersey, bearing his name and the number 9 on the back. He also took the time to meet with the stadium staff and players.

Amidst the prince's public engagements, rumors have been circulating about the health of his wife, Kate Middleton. The Kensington Palace spokesperson reiterated that the princess is "doing well" as she continues to recover from planned abdominal surgery, which has kept her at the family's Adelaide Cottage in Windsor.

The announcement of Middleton's surgery was made in January to provide clarity on her recovery timeline and prevent speculation about any potential changes to her upcoming engagements. Despite the palace's insistence that she is making good progress, conspiracy theories have emerged on social media platforms, including X and TikTok, speculating about her whereabouts and health condition.

Spanish journalist Concha Calleja alleged on a popular Spanish news program that Middleton was in a coma due to complications arising from the surgery. However, a palace source firmly denied these claims, deeming them "total nonsense."

While Middleton's recuperation has been reported to be going smoothly, it is expected that she will remain out of the public eye until Easter, following the doctor's orders while maintaining engagement behind the scenes.

As the focus remains on William's public appearances and Middleton's recovery, the British and foreign media continue to scrutinize the health of the senior royals. This heightened attention began with the late Queen Elizabeth II's withdrawal from public view, followed by King Charles III ascending the throne at an age when most would retire.

Regardless of the ongoing rumors and speculation, the prince remains committed to his royal duties, supporting charitable endeavors and engaging with local communities.
