**Prince William Reflects on Childhood Memory with Prince Harry Amidst Ongoing Tensions**

Prince William has reminisced about a formative experience he shared with his brother, Prince Harry, in a recent documentary focused on homelessness. Despite their strained relationship, the Prince of Wales shared a heartfelt memory from their childhood in "Prince William: We Can End Homelessness."

In a preview clip of the documentary, Prince William recounted, "My mother took me to The Passage; she took Harry and I both there. I must have been 11 at the time, maybe 10. I had never been to anything like that before, and I was a bit anxious about what to expect." A photo accompanying the documentary captured the two young princes at the homeless charity, showing Harry seated on their mother, Princess Diana's lap, both boys dressed casually and smiling warmly for the camera.

Throughout the years, the relationship between William and Harry has visibly deteriorated. An official 40th birthday greeting from Kensington Palace's social media account notwithstanding, William's recent remarks in the documentary are seen as his first public acknowledgment of his brother in years. The relationship took a significant hit after Harry's marriage to Meghan Markle, escalating further when the couple relocated to California in 2020. Their candid interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2021, which included allegations of racism within the royal family, further strained ties.

The release of Harry's memoir "Spare" in 2022 added fuel to the fire, where he accused William of physically assaulting him during a 2019 argument. The tension between the brothers was evident most recently at the memorial service for their mother's brother-in-law, Lord Robert Fellowes, in August, where they appeared to keep their distance from each other.

In June, a royal expert revealed that Harry declined an invitation to the Duke of Westminster's wedding because William would be present. Harry did make a brief visit to London in February to see his father following King Charles' cancer diagnosis but did not meet with William. It is believed the brothers last spoke in 2022, after the passing of Queen Elizabeth.

The documentary sheds light on both a cherished childhood memory and the ongoing, complex relationship between the two princes, offering a glimpse into a past moment of unity amidst their current discord.
