In a tragic incident, a passenger plane carrying 61 people crashed into a gated residential community in Vinhedo, Brazil's Sao Paulo state, resulting in the loss of all lives on board. The airline, VOEPASS, confirmed the devastating news, expressing their condolences to the families of the victims.

The ill-fated flight, identified as an ATR 72-500 twin-engine turboprop, was en route to Sao Paulo's international airport Guarulhos from an undisclosed location. It had 57 passengers and 4 crew members on board when it tragically crashed in Vinhedo, about 80 kilometers (50 miles) northwest of Sao Paulo.

As of now, there is no information available regarding casualties on the ground in the residential area where the plane crashed. However, witnesses at the scene have reported that residents of the neighborhood remained unharmed. The exact cause of the crash is still under investigation.

Ana Lucia, a resident who witnessed the plane crash, revealed her fear that the aircraft was going to fall into her yard. She expressed gratitude that no locals were harmed, emphasizing that the 61 people on board the plane were the true victims.

Video footage obtained by The Associated Press shows the aftermath of the crash, with flaming wreckage scattered across the residential area. GloboNews, a Brazilian television network, aired aerial images that depicted smoke emanating from the obliterated fuselage of the aircraft. Earlier footage on GloboNews captured the plane in a perilous descent, spiraling downwards.

The investigation into the causes of the crash is expected to provide more clarity in the days to come. As the community mourns the loss of those aboard the ill-fated flight, VOEPASS reassured that they are fully cooperating with authorities and focusing on providing support to the families affected by this devastating incident.
