WWE's lead play-by-play announcer, Michael Cole, revealed on Friday how pirates in the Suez Canal caused a significant delay in shipping the Elimination Chamber structure to Perth, Australia, for the upcoming premium live event. Cole shared at Friday's Elimination Chamber press conference in Perth that the structure took over a month to reach Australia due to the shipping challenges caused by the pirates. The Chamber structure had to be rerouted, starting from Miami before being transported to Los Angeles by truck and then shipped to Sydney, eventually making its way to Perth by train.

The event in Perth marks a momentous occasion as it is the first premium live event to take place in Australia since Super Show-Down in Melbourne back in October 2018. The Elimination Chamber event scheduled for Saturday will hold significant importance for WrestleMania 40 set to take place in April. The outcomes of the men's and women's Elimination Chamber matches during Saturday's event will determine the challengers for the World Heavyweight Championship and the Women's World Championship at WrestleMania 40, respectively. The winner of the men's Chamber will earn the opportunity to challenge Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship, while the victor of the women's Chamber will compete for the Women's World Championship at the prestigious annual event.
