### Philadelphia Eagles Eyeing Maxx Crosby for Edge Boost Before Trade Deadline

The Philadelphia Eagles are priding themselves on an impressive 4-2 record, showcasing a solid performance in their recent games by not allowing any defensive touchdowns. Yet, with the National Football League trade deadline looming on November 5, the Eagles are exploring options to enhance their defense further, particularly by bolstering their edge rush.

In their current position, the Eagles are well within contention for the season, but another dynamic edge rusher could substantially elevate their Super Bowl aspirations. A significant name being floated around is Las Vegas Raiders' star defensive end Maxx Crosby. According to The Athletic's Jacob Robinson and Dianna Russini, a proposed trade could see Crosby donning the Eagles' jersey soon.

Robinson and Russini's hypothetical scenario involves the Eagles acquiring Crosby by trading a slew of future picks to the Raiders: their 2025 first, fourth, and fifth-round selections, in addition to a 2026 second-round pick. Emphasizing General Manager Howie Roseman's adeptness in securing high-value talents, they pointed out that Roseman previously traded a first and third-rounder for A.J. Brown in 2022.

Maxx Crosby's addition to the Eagles would require him to agree to a contract restructure, but the benefits could be immense. He would provide the much-needed edge presence, as exemplified by his consistent performance over recent seasons. With the Eagles sitting at 15th in pass rush win rate, Crosby’s prowess could be the key to uplifting their pass rush capabilities.

The Eagles recently traded away Haason Reddick, who was formidable on the edge with 27 sacks over the past two seasons. Crosby, matching Reddick's productivity, has tallied 6.5 sacks so far in the current term and is on track for at least 12.5 sacks for the third year in a row.

Although Crosby carries a hefty $94 million contract, Philadelphia's acquisition could prove pivotal. His presence would not only fill the void left by Reddick but could also be the deciding factor in turning the Eagles from mere contenders into Super Bowl frontrunners.
