In an effort to secure a promising player, the Philadelphia Eagles are rumored to be considering a move up in the first round of the upcoming NFL Draft, scheduled for Thursday night. General Manager Howie Roseman has reportedly been reaching out to other teams picking ahead of the Eagles to gauge their interest in a potential trade.

Currently holding the 22nd overall pick, the Eagles possess the necessary assets to make a move in the draft. With two second-round picks at their disposal, including their own and one acquired from the New Orleans Saints, Philadelphia has the ammunition to trade up if they identify a player they highly covet.

Roseman has previously shown a willingness to wheel and deal during the draft. Last year, he traded away the team's fourth-round pick in 2024 to move up just one spot and select defensive tackle Jalen Carter. In the year prior, Roseman packaged a fourth-round pick and two fifth-round picks to move up two spots and secure defensive tackle Jordan Davis. And in the year before that, he gave up a third-round pick to move up two spots and draft wide receiver DeVonta Smith.

According to the betting odds, the Eagles are expected to target a cornerback with their first-round pick. Two standout cornerbacks in this year's draft are Toledo's Quinyon Mitchell and Alabama's Terrion Arnold. If Roseman decides to pull the trigger on a trade, one of them could potentially be the desired target, with Philadelphia possibly parting ways with a later pick to move up.

With the draft fast approaching, anticipation is building as fans eagerly await the strategic moves the Eagles will make to strengthen their roster. As Thursday night approaches, the football world will be watching closely to see if Philadelphia can successfully maneuver their way up the draft board and secure a top-tier talent to contribute to their team's success in the upcoming season.
