### Oregon Ducks Remain Dominant in US LBM Coaches Poll, Few Changes at the Top

Week 9 of college football brought plenty of excitement but not many upsets, leading to minimal changes in the US LBM Coaches Poll's higher ranks. The Oregon Ducks maintain their command of the No. 1 position, securing all but one of the 54 first-place votes after a decisive win against Illinois. Holding on to the No. 2 spot, Georgia remains consistent, even during their bye week, capturing the solitary remaining first-place vote.

Penn State and Ohio State, who are set for a highly anticipated face-off next week, continue to occupy the subsequent spots at No. 3 and No. 4 respectively. Miami (Fla.) and Texas hold steady in their positions at No. 5 and No. 6 following their recent victories, reflecting stability among the top six teams.

Significant changes start from No. 7, where LSU suffered a drop to No. 16 after a loss to Texas A&M, which ascended to No. 11 this week. Tennessee and Clemson each moved up one spot, now sitting at No. 7 and No. 8 respectively. Notre Dame's emphatic victory over then-No. 24 Navy has propelled them to No. 9, pushing Iowa State to No. 10.

Despite their loss to Oregon, Illinois remains in the rankings at No. 24. However, Navy and Vanderbilt were less fortunate, both falling out of the poll. Washington State makes its season debut at No. 22, and Memphis rejoins the rankings, narrowly edging out Colorado for the No. 25 spot by a single poll point.

With such intense competition and upcoming high-stakes games, the landscape of college football continues to captivate fans and shift rapidly.
