The conflict between Israel and Hamas, which began when Hamas terrorists invaded southern Israel on October 7, has now passed the four-month mark. The Israeli military continues its bombardment of the Gaza Strip, while Hamas militants have targeted Israel and the West Bank. According to Gaza's Hamas-controlled Ministry of Health, at least 29,410 people have been killed and 69,465 others wounded in Gaza, while Israel has reported 1,200 dead and 6,900 injured. The violence has also escalated in the Israeli-occupied West Bank, where at least 395 people have been killed.

Recent events include the conclusion of a one-week Israeli military operation inside Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis, where at least 200 suspected Hamas members were arrested. The World Health Organization assisted in evacuating critically ill patients from the hospital, amidst reports of patients dying due to a lack of electricity.

A shooting incident near Jerusalem in the West Bank resulted in one fatality and multiple injuries, with Israeli security forces neutralizing three armed suspects who opened fire on civilians. Israeli Minister Benny Gantz expressed cautious optimism about a potential hostage deal, mentioning ongoing efforts to move forward with new negotiations.

The conflict, marked by retaliatory airstrikes and ground invasions, has left both sides with casualties and escalating tensions. The situation remains volatile as both Israel and Hamas continue to clash with no immediate resolution in sight.
