Denver Nuggets head coach, Michael Malone, did not hold back his frustration and disappointment following his team's humbling defeat in Game 2 of the Western Conference semifinals against the Minnesota Timberwolves. The Nuggets were soundly beaten with a final score of 106-80 on Monday night, leaving Malone visibly embarrassed and searching for solutions.

Speaking in a post-game interview, Malone openly admitted that the Timberwolves had dominated the game, saying, "They kicked our a--. Yeah, it got away from us." He expressed concern about the team's body language and acknowledged that the Nuggets had been thoroughly outplayed on their home court, leaving the fans feeling embarrassed.

Recognizing the urgency of the situation, Malone questioned his team's response to the defeat, asking, "What are you going to do about it?" With the defending NBA champions down 0-2 in the series, the pressure is on for the Nuggets to deliver a strong response in Minneapolis.

In Game 2, the Nuggets' star players failed to rise to the occasion. Nikola Jokic put up respectable numbers with 16 points, 16 rebounds, and eight assists. However, his shooting performance was lackluster, going 5-for-13 from the field. Jamal Murray struggled even more, scoring just eight points on a dismal 3-of-18 shooting, along with 13 rebounds and two assists.

On the other side, the Timberwolves received exceptional contributions from their key players. Karl-Anthony Towns led the team with 27 points, 12 rebounds, and two blocks, shooting an impressive 10-for-15 from the field and 3-for-5 from beyond the arc. Anthony Edwards continued to shine in the postseason, contributing 27 points and seven assists on an efficient 11-of-17 shooting.

The Nuggets now find themselves on the brink of elimination, facing the daunting task of turning the series around. If they fail to do so, they will join a long list of defending champions who have fallen short of reaching the NBA Finals. The pressure is mounting for Michael Malone and his team to find answers quickly and regain control of the series before it slips away completely.
