### NASCAR Adjusts Frontstretch Chicane Rumble Strips Following Driver Complaints
In response to driver feedback, NASCAR has made significant adjustments to the curbing on the frontstretch chicane ahead of today's race. Previously, the blue rumble strips in Turn 16 stood at 4 inches tall, a height that many drivers found problematic.
After receiving numerous complaints from Cup drivers, NASCAR opted to replace the original strips with red-and-white ones, measuring a more moderate 2.25 inches high. These new strips have been painted blue to maintain the visual integrity of the track.
The decision to make these changes came after drivers expressed concerns about the intensity and discomfort caused by the previous curbing. "It feels like you get a concussion every lap," remarked former series champion Martin Truex Jr. on Saturday. Truex's sentiment was echoed by two-time Cup champion Kyle Busch, who responded, "Glad somebody said it."
By heeding driver feedback and installing the smaller rumble strips, NASCAR aims to improve safety and comfort for the participants, ensuring a smoother racing experience for everyone involved.
