An aspiring TikTok star who had gone missing after a night out in Georgia has been discovered dead at the scene of a car crash, his family confirmed. The tragedy has left family and friends in a state of shock and grief.
Jiare Schneider, 31, disappeared on November 15 after visiting a strip club. His body was found in a crashed car in the woods along the road where he was last seen. "This morning, a group of us gathered and went to the woods... and there he was," family friend Germequa Bell told Fox 5 Atlanta. Schneider had been missing for over a week, raising concern among his loved ones.
The Clayton County Police Department confirmed that the vehicle was found deep in the woods, suggesting high speed as a factor. According to a statement from the police, the preliminary investigation indicates that the vehicle traveled westbound across Brown Road, went through overgrowth, and collided with a tree at the rear of the property.
Lieutenant Ricky Porter shared that Schneider's family and friends had informed the police of his disappearance from the Forest Park area. Found in a silver Toyota 4Runner, the last vehicle he was known to be driving, Schneider's body was located roughly 25 minutes from a content creator's house, which he frequently visited.
The family grew suspicious when Schneider didn’t call his son for several days, something unusual due to his consistent communication with his child who has DiGeorge Syndrome. His sister, Jasnique Oliver, said that Schneider’s lapse in checking up on his son and inactivity on social media alerted the family that something was wrong. His absence from social media, despite trying to grow his online presence, was also seen as a concerning sign.
Family and friends had to take it upon themselves to search for Schneider after what they felt was insufficient police assistance. Bell expressed both relief and frustration, stating, "Of course, [we're] relieved that we found him, but still angry that we didn't get the resources, the help that we were asking."
The family is now grappling with their loss and focusing on caring for Schneider's young son. The police have confirmed the incident remains under investigation, and the exact cause of Schneider's death has not yet been determined.
