### Andrew Van Ginkel's Stunning Interception Leads Vikings in London Showdown
In an impressive display of defensive prowess, Minnesota Vikings linebacker Andrew Van Ginkel showcased his knack for disrupting opposing quarterbacks in a thrilling game on Sunday in London. With a keen ability to find open spaces, Van Ginkel intercepted New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers, running it back 63 yards for the game’s first touchdown. This stellar play gave the Vikings an early 10-0 lead and marked Rodgers' fifth career pick-six over his 20-year tenure.
Van Ginkel, who has now amassed four career interceptions, remarkably returned three of them for touchdowns. His latest interception continues a strong start to the season, building on his Week 1 performance where he intercepted New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones, returning it 10 yards for a touchdown.
Originally drafted in the fifth round by the Miami Dolphins in 2019, Van Ginkel was utilized effectively under then-head coach Brian Flores. Now serving as the Vikings' defensive coordinator, Flores advocated for Van Ginkel's acquisition during the offseason, collaborating with general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah to bring him aboard.
The Vikings defense did not let up after Van Ginkel's contribution. On the Jets' subsequent possession, safety Cam Bynum intercepted Rodgers, marking the first instance in Rodgers' career of throwing two interceptions in the first quarter of a game, as noted by ESPN Research. This added to the already impressive defensive showing by the Vikings, capturing the spotlight in their London matchup.
