**Vikings Sign New Kicker and Long Snapper Amid Injury Troubles**
The Minnesota Vikings are making adjustments to their roster following some key injuries. They have added John Parker Romo as their new kicker, effective this Tuesday, due to Will Reichard being sidelined by a quad injury. Romo is anticipated to kick for the Vikings in their upcoming game against Jacksonville this weekend.
Will Reichard, selected in the sixth round of this year's draft, will be placed on injured reserve, causing him to miss at least four games. Reichard had an impressive run this season, successfully hitting 14 of 16 field goals and converting all 23 extra-point attempts. Unfortunately, his streak was broken when he missed two field goals in the team's recent win over Indianapolis.
In addition to the changes at the kicker position, the Vikings are also dealing with an injury to their long snapper, Andrew DePaola. In response, they've signed veteran long snapper Jake McQuaide. McQuaide brings a wealth of experience, having appeared in 190 career games with the Rams, Cowboys, and Lions.
These roster updates are crucial as the Vikings face critical matchups in the coming weeks and aim to maintain their competitive edge despite the setbacks.
