**Minnesota Vikings Rule Out Key Players for Week 8 Matchup Against Los Angeles Rams**

The Minnesota Vikings, with a strong start to their season at 5-1, have announced that two significant players will be absent for their Thursday Night Football clash against the Los Angeles Rams, who are currently 2-4. Tight end T.J. Hockenson and guard Dalton Risner will not be participating in Week 8's game.

Hockenson, who sustained a knee injury during a game against Detroit on December 24, 2023, has been on the Reserve/Physically Unable to Perform list. Despite efforts to recover, he is still not ready to return to the field. Meanwhile, Risner has been grappling with a back injury he suffered during training camp. He remains on the Injured Reserve/Designated for Return list as he continues his rehabilitation.

In response to these absences, the Vikings have decided to elevate tight end Robert Tonyan and defensive lineman Jalen Redmond from their practice squad. Both Tonyan and Redmond have had stints on Minnesota’s 53-man roster as well as on the practice squad during this season.

The Vikings are hoping these adjustments will help maintain their momentum as they prepare to take on the Rams in Los Angeles.
