**Dolphins Coach Responds to 'Soft' Label After Cold-Weather Defeat**

The Miami Dolphins' struggles in chilly conditions were glaring once again during Thursday night's Thanksgiving clash at Lambeau Field. Miami faltered spectacularly, continuing a pattern of poor performances in cold weather, as the Green Bay Packers surged to a 30-17 victory.

Green Bay's dominance was evident as they amassed 114 yards and a touchdown on 25 carries, capitalizing on Miami's apparent inability to cope with the 27-degree weather. Packers running back Josh Jacobs commented post-game, "Them guys looked like they was cold out there."

Dolphins linebacker Jordyn Brooks didn't shy away from critiquing his own team. "I thought we were soft," Brooks told ESPN on Friday. "Simple as that, I thought we were soft today. I don't know if guys was too cold.... I don't know what it was. I feel like the elements played a part in how we played as a group, and that was the result that we got." This criticism came in light of Miami missing 23 tackles, according to Pro Football Focus.

Head coach Mike McDaniel acknowledged Brooks's comments and linked them to the team’s subpar tackling effort. "I think specifically what Jordyn was talking about, I think that has to do with the tackling or the lack thereof," McDaniel explained. "So much of the production over 100-some odd yards for them offensively was as a result of tackling, and I think that was a collective issue."

McDaniel also pinpointed the root causes of the defensive lapses. "I saw a consistent failure of tacklers to bring their feet through the tackle... Whether that was because of the cold or the short week, either way both things are consistent with the opponent; the opponent has a short week and the opponent is playing in that weather."

While Miami's defense was in the spotlight for its shortcomings, the offense also stumbled when it counted. The Dolphins went just 4-of-14 on third down and managed to score touchdowns on only two of their four red zone visits, missing critical opportunities to challenge the Packers in Lambeau’s frigid environment.
