### Miami Dolphins' QB Shuffle Continues as Tyler Huntley Suffers Shoulder Injury
Miami Dolphins' quarterback Tyler Huntley sustained a right shoulder injury during their game against the Indianapolis Colts on October 20, 2024. The incident occurred halfway through the third quarter when Huntley was hit hard by Colts cornerback Kenny Moore II, causing him to land awkwardly on his shoulder.
Huntley managed to walk off the field on his own, although he seemed to be favoring his right arm. He was quickly taken to the blue medical tent and later escorted to the locker room for further evaluation. Initially, the Dolphins listed him as questionable to return, but soon after, officially ruled him out for the rest of the game.
The injury came at an unfortunate time for Huntley, who was starting to find his rhythm. Prior to being sidelined, he had completed approximately 54% of his passes, amassing 87 yards and scoring a touchdown. With Huntley out, the Dolphins turned to Tim Boyle to steer the offense. Boyle, who had been elevated from the practice squad, previously played in their loss to the Seattle Seahawks, completing about 58% of his passes for 73 yards.
The Dolphins have faced a series of challenges with their quarterbacks this season. Since Tua Tagovailoa's concussion in Week 2, the team has been forced to juggle multiple quarterbacks. Skylar Thompson started against the Seahawks but was sidelined with a rib injury, leading to Boyle's earlier involvement. Huntley was then signed and started the subsequent three games until his recent injury.
There is a glimmer of hope on the horizon as Tua Tagovailoa is expected to resume practice next week. Tagovailoa aims to return to the field for the Dolphins' game against the Arizona Cardinals on October 28, potentially bringing some much-needed stability to the embattled quarterback position.
