A lucky player in Southern California is now $548,195 richer after winning the top prize in Friday's Mega Millions draw. The winning ticket was sold at the Vons store located at 7311 North Figueroa Street in Eagle Rock, Los Angeles, according to California Lottery officials.

The fortunate player matched five numbers - 10, 17, 23, 50, and 67 - securing the impressive sum of $548,195. Sadly, no one claimed the Mega Millions jackpot, meaning the grand prize for the next draw has now risen to $251 million.

Lottery officials also revealed that there were a total of 99,493 other winning tickets from Friday's draw. These lucky tickets earned prizes ranging from $2 to $12,843.
