### Maxx Crosby Trade Speculations Amid Raiders' Mid-Season Shake-Up
The Las Vegas Raiders seem to have already thrown in the towel just seven weeks into the season. In a significant move that signals a focus on rebuilding, the team traded their star wide receiver, Davante Adams, to the New York Jets. The compensation is a conditional third-round pick that could upgrade to a second-round pick if Adams achieves All-Pro status or is active during the AFC Championship Game or the Super Bowl.
This action hints at what could be a broader fire sale by the Raiders, hinting that they are gearing up for a long-term rebuilding phase. This leads us to All-Pro defensive end Maxx Crosby, who is currently one of the standout players in the NFL. At 27, Crosby has established himself as one of the best, even more impactful than the 49ers' Nick Bosa. Given Crosby’s prime age and stellar performance, many believe he belongs with a Super Bowl-contending team rather than languishing in a franchise that’s looking to reset.
The burning question now is whether the 49ers will reach out to the Raiders with a trade offer for Crosby. If they do, it would require a significant package to even come close to what Crosby is worth. A reasonable estimate would be two first-round picks and a second-round pick at the very least. However, even such an enticing offer may not sway Raiders owner Mark Davis, who has previously shown reluctance to trade with the 49ers, as evidenced by his refusal to trade Khalil Mack in 2018.
Given the Raiders' current stance and Davis' history, it seems likely that the 49ers would indeed make a call, but the Raiders would decline any offer that comes their way for Crosby.
