Matthew Perry's stepfather, Keith Morrison, has broken his silence after the recent announcement of two arrests related to the untimely passing of the beloved "Friends" star. Perry's death in October was determined to be a result of the acute effects of ketamine. Morrison, renowned for his work on "Dateline NBC," released a heartfelt family statement expressing their ongoing heartbreak over Matthew's loss. However, he also acknowledged the thorough investigation conducted by law enforcement and expressed gratitude for their dedicated efforts.

In the family statement shared with various sources, Morrison expressed gratitude towards the numerous agencies involved in scrutinizing Perry's death, acknowledging their commendable work in taking the case seriously. He conveyed their collective hope for justice and an end to the distribution of harmful drugs by unscrupulous individuals.

The recent developments in the case have seen the Justice Department naming Dr. Salvador Plasencia, a physician, and Jasveen Sangha, known as "The Ketamine Queen" of North Hollywood, as the accused in Perry's death. Additionally, three other individuals - Erik Fleming, Kenneth Iwamasa, and Dr. Mark Chavez - have either pled guilty or agreed to do so, according to the Justice Department.

The accused defendants are facing charges of conspiring to distribute ketamine. Erik Fleming has entered a guilty plea for conspiracy to supply ketamine and the distribution of ketamine leading to death. It is alleged that Fleming obtained the substance from Sangha and provided it to Perry's assistant, Kenneth Iwamasa, in the form of vials. According to the investigation, Iwamasa administered multiple ketamine injections to Perry on the day of his tragic death.

Dr. Mark Chavez has also consented to entering a guilty plea for one count of conspiracy to distribute ketamine. The autopsy report on Perry revealed ketamine as the primary cause of death, with drowning playing a minor role. Perry, who rose to fame for his portrayal of Chandler Bing on the hit sitcom "Friends," was discovered deceased in his hot tub last year.

Keith Morrison, who had been a part of Perry's life since his childhood, married Perry's mother in 1981. In an interview with the podcast "Making Space," Morrison opened up about the close bond between Perry and his mother at the time of his passing. He shared that their loss is felt every day and emphasized the profound impact Perry had on their lives.

As the investigation continues and the legal proceedings unfold, Perry's loved ones are determined to seek justice for his tragic demise. The arrests and subsequent guilty pleas offer a glimmer of hope in the fight against the illicit distribution of dangerous substances. The legacy of Matthew Perry as a talented actor and cherished friend will continue to resonate with fans worldwide.
