Mark Zuckerberg has climbed to the position of the world's second-richest individual, surpassing Amazon founder Jeff Bezos. According to Bloomberg's Billionaires Index, the Meta CEO's personal wealth surged by over $3 billion, reaching a new high of $206.2 billion.

Jeff Bezos now holds the title of the third-wealthiest person with a net worth of $205 billion. This shift in rankings is tightly linked to the robust performance of Meta Platforms, the parent company of Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Threads, all co-founded by Zuckerberg in 2004.

Meta's stock has shown impressive gains, rising 69% since the start of the year. The company generated $75.5 billion in revenue during the first half of the year, with $39.07 billion coming from the second quarter alone. Meta also reported a net income of $25.83 billion across the first two quarters.
