**Bruno Fernandes Apologizes to Erik ten Hag Following United Exit**

Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes has disclosed that he personally reached out to Erik ten Hag to apologize after the Dutchman was relieved of his managerial duties at the club. The revelation came in the aftermath of United's 1-1 draw against Chelsea in their first Premier League match since Ten Hag's departure.

Fernandes, who contributed a crucial penalty goal in the Chelsea match, admitted he spoke to his former manager to express his regret and acknowledged the players' role in Ten Hag’s dismissal. "Whenever you see a manager go, you have to take some of the blame on yourself; it is because the team is not doing so well," Fernandes shared with Sky. "It is easier to get rid of a manager than 15 players. I spoke to the manager and apologized to him. I was disappointed he has gone, and I tried to help him. I wasn't scoring goals, we are not scoring goals, and I feel responsible."

The midfielder lamented that the sacking has cast a shadow over the club. "It is not good for anyone at the club when the manager goes. The team is not the best, the results are not the best, and he is the one who pays for it," Fernandes added.

The change in management has seen United achieve mixed results under caretaker boss Ruud van Nistelrooy. While they secured a win against Leicester in the Carabao Cup, the team only managed a draw in the Premier League against Chelsea. Van Nistelrooy, set to lead the team for two more matches before Rúben Amorim takes over on November 11, acknowledged the tumultuous week the club has endured.

"It has been very difficult from last Monday to today, six days, a rollercoaster of emotions," Van Nistelrooy commented. "The next day you have to start to focus on getting the lads ready for Leicester because 75,000 people show up here at Old Trafford and the players feel they have an obligation to do better."

Van Nistelrooy admitted the importance of self-reflection among players after a challenging start to the season. "They look in the mirror, and their reactions then and today show they think about things," he noted.

With uncertainty surrounding his long-term future, Van Nistelrooy remains open to opportunities while expressing his willingness to support incoming manager Rúben Amorim. "I am open for the future," he said. "We all will be backing him and helping him to get Man United where we want them to be. I look forward to getting to know him better. He has done very well in Portugal."

As Van Nistelrooy prepares to guide United in their upcoming Europa League clash against POAK and a Premier League encounter with Leicester, the club and its fans await the next chapter under new leadership.
