A terrifying incident unfolded at Los Angeles International Airport on Tuesday when a Lufthansa Airlines flight experienced a rough landing. The dramatic moment was captured on video and quickly spread on social media platforms.

The aircraft involved was a 747-8i, which is Boeing's largest version of the iconic "Jumbo Jet." As the plane attempted to touch down, it struck the runway with significant force and bounced, causing the pilot to abort the landing. The incident, known as a Baulked Landing, was streamed live on Airline Videos Live and subsequently shared on popular online platforms like YouTube.

Kevin Ray, the owner and host of Airline Videos Live, exclaimed, "Holy Moly!" as the jet hit the runway and left skid marks. Ray described it as the roughest landing ever captured on their broadcast.

Lufthansa Flight 456, originating from Frankfurt, Germany, proceeded to circle the airport before safely landing without further incident. The 747-8 series, used by Lufthansa, has the capacity to accommodate over 400 passengers and crew.

KTLA 5 News has reached out to Lufthansa Airlines for a comment regarding the incident but has not received a response at the time of this article's publication.

The video of the alarming landing has sparked discussions among aviation enthusiasts and raised concerns about passenger safety. Investigations into the causes behind the hard landing are likely to be conducted to prevent similar incidents in the future.

Passengers and aviation experts are relieved that the skilled pilot's quick decision to abort the landing ensured a safe outcome for everyone on board. As the news of the challenging landing continues to circulate, it serves as a reminder of the precision and skill required in the world of aviation.
