### Lions Face Lineup Shuffle Post-Anzalone Injury

The Detroit Lions are grappling with lineup changes as they prepare for the postseason without their key linebacker, Alex Anzalone. Anzalone, who suffered a broken forearm during the team's dominant 52-6 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars, will be sidelined for an estimated six-to-eight weeks. Following this injury, the Lions have placed Anzalone on injured reserve.

To fill the void on the roster, the Lions have activated defensive back Ifeatu Melifonwu from injured reserve. However, Melifonwu's return to the field could be delayed due to recent complications. Initially coming back from an ankle injury, Melifonwu now faces a new setback involving a finger issue. Head coach Dan Campbell indicated in a Monday press conference that Melifonwu won't be ready to play for some time, raising the possibility that he might return to injured reserve with a designation for later activation this season.

In a bid to bolster their defensive lineup, the Lions have also signed former Miami Dolphins linebacker David Long to their practice squad. Long, who managed 38 tackles in eight games—six of them starts—during his tenure with the Dolphins this season, brings experience and depth to the team as they navigate their remaining games without Anzalone.
