Lenape Heights Event Center Closure Leaves Brides and Employees in Limbo
ICARO Media Group
Lenape Heights Event Center and Golf Course abruptly closed its doors, leaving brides with upcoming weddings and employees in a state of uncertainty. Employees were caught off guard as they were initially assured that business would continue as usual despite the pending sale. However, they received termination letters, leaving them without jobs and without clear answers.
Brides who had booked the venue for their weddings were also left in a lurch, with more than a dozen weddings now canceled. One bride scheduled her wedding for May, only to find out about the closure last week. Attempts to contact the venue proved futile, with phone lines disconnected and a note on the door confirming the closure. A subsequent email informed brides that they would receive their deposits back, but many expressed dissatisfaction with how the situation was handled, emphasizing the lack of warning.
The uncertainty extends to the future of the space, now under new ownership following the sale of the venue and hotel. As former employees and brides continue to grapple with the sudden closure, questions remain about accountability and what lies ahead for the once-thriving event center.
