The ongoing legal dispute between Hollywood stars Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt has reached new heights as Jolie's legal team filed a motion seeking crucial documents and evidence to support their claims against Pitt. The motion alleges that Pitt refused to purchase Jolie's share of their French winery, Château Miraval, unless she signed a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) aimed at concealing his alleged history of abuse, control, and coverup.

According to court documents obtained by Fox News Digital, Jolie's lawyers argue that Pitt's history of physical abuse towards her predates their infamous September 2016 plane trip from France to Los Angeles. On this flight, Jolie claims that Pitt turned his physical abuse towards their children as well, leading her to leave him immediately. Jolie decided not to press charges, believing that it was best for Pitt to assume responsibility and help the family recover from the post-traumatic stress caused by his actions.

While Pitt's representative has yet to respond to these latest claims, a close friend of the actor stated that Jolie's recent suit follows a "pattern of behavior" from her side. The friend accused Jolie of resorting to introducing misleading and irrelevant information whenever a decision goes against her. They also mentioned the lengthy custody trial, which resulted in the judge granting Pitt 50/50 custody, taking into account the entire history of their relationship.

Jolie's recent filing also included sealed documents, such as emails, summaries of expected testimony, and other evidence, which raised concerns for Pitt regarding the potential public disclosure of sensitive information.

Paul Murphy, Jolie's lawyer, asserted that Pitt "refused to purchase" her share of Château Miraval when she rejected the NDA. Murphy argued that Pitt's refusal, coupled with his subsequent lawsuit, highlights the importance of the NDA and what he hoped it would conceal - his alleged abuse towards Jolie and their family. The motion filed by Jolie's legal team seeks to compel Pitt to produce the requested evidence after months of delays.

Jolie and Pitt's relationship spanned 12 years, with their marriage officially ending in 2016 after two years. They became legally single in 2019. During their relationship, the couple purchased a controlling stake in the renowned French winery, Château Miraval, in 2008. However, in 2021, Jolie attempted to transfer her 50% ownership interest to Tenute Del Mondo, a subsidiary of the Stoli group, through the sale of her company, Nouvel.

Subsequently, in 2022, Pitt retaliated, claiming that this transaction violated their contractual agreement. His court documents alleged that Jolie purposely kept him in the dark about the sale and knowingly breached his contractual rights. Pitt filed a suit against Jolie, citing breach of contract, interference with contractual and business relations, and invoking the Luxembourg Civil Code. He seeks damages to be determined at trial and demands that Jolie's sale be declared null and void.

In response, Jolie's company, Nouvel, accused Pitt of orchestrating a vindictive campaign to "loot" the profitable business since Jolie's initial divorce filing in 2016. Jolie previously attempted to overturn a tentative ruling that allowed Pitt's claims regarding the sale of her stake in Château Miraval to proceed to trial. She labeled his claims as frivolous, malicious, and part of a problematic pattern.

As the legal battle intensifies, Pitt has recently been granted permission to sue Jolie for breach of contract and will also be allowed to amend his claim of breach of good faith and fair dealing.
