In an exciting announcement by United World Wrestling, the top-eight seeds in each weight class for the men's and women's freestyle, as well as the Greco-Roman disciplines, at the Paris Olympics 2024 have been revealed. Team USA has reason to celebrate as seven American wrestlers have secured seeded positions in their respective weight classes, showcasing their talent and dedication to the sport.

Leading the charge for Team USA is Kyle Dake, a renowned wrestler who has already made a name for himself with a bronze medal at the 2020 Olympics and four World championship titles. Dake has earned the prestigious No. 1 seed at 74 kg in the men's freestyle category, firmly establishing himself as one of the favorites in his weight class. Notably, Dake is the sole American to claim the top seed.

Joining Dake in the men's freestyle events are two more exceptional athletes who have secured their places as seeded competitors. Kyle Snyder, an Olympic champion from 2016 and two-time Olympic medalist, will compete as the No. 3 seed at 97 kg. Additionally, Mason Parris, a bronze medalist at the 2023 World Championships, has claimed the No. 3 seed at 125 kg.

On the women's freestyle side, three American athletes have secured seeds in their weight classes. Helen Maroulis, the trailblazing Olympic gold medalist in women's freestyle wrestling for Team USA, holds the highest seed among all American female athletes. Maroulis has earned the No. 5 seed at 57 kg, solidifying her position as a strong contender for another Olympic triumph.

Sarah Hildebrandt, a bronze medalist at the 2020 Olympics, comes in as the No. 6 seed at 50 kg, showcasing her incredible skills and determination. Kayla Miracle, a two-time World finalist and Tokyo Olympian, has claimed the No. 8 seed at 62 kg, determined to make her mark at the Paris Olympics.

In the Greco-Roman tournament, Adam Coon stands as the lone American representative to secure a seed. Coon, a silver medalist at the 2018 World Championships, has earned the No. 8 seed at 130 kg and will strive to showcase his skills on the Olympic stage.

It is worth noting that the brackets for the Olympic Games will be seeded eight deep for the first time, with 16 wrestlers featured in each weight class. The remaining eight participants will be drawn in at random, creating an atmosphere of uncertainty and excitement.

The seeding process for the Olympic Games was determined through a series of competitions, where wrestlers accumulated points to secure their seeds in Paris. However, it is essential to remember that these seeds are subject to change pending final entries from each country, which will be confirmed 24 hours before the start of the tournament.

With some of the best wrestlers in the world representing Team USA and earning seeded positions, the stage is set for an exhilarating and fiercely competitive Olympic wrestling tournament. The entire nation will be eagerly anticipating the performances of Dake, Snyder, Maroulis, and their fellow American athletes as they strive for Olympic glory in Paris 2024.
