Boston Celtics' big man Kristaps Porzingis has been listed as questionable for Game 5 of the NBA Finals against the Dallas Mavericks on Monday night. This comes after Porzingis missed Games 3 and 4 due to a left posterior tibialis dislocation.

The injury report was disclosed shortly after Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla spoke with reporters on Sunday. Mazzulla admitted uncertainty about Porzingis' current condition but emphasized the player's determination to return to the court.

"He's trying and doing everything he can to try to put himself in position to be out there," Mazzulla stated according to a league-provided transcript. "I know that for sure."

With the Celtics currently leading the series 3-1, they have the opportunity to claim their 18th championship title, also known as "Banner 18," with a win at TD Garden on Monday. The highly anticipated match is scheduled to tip off at 8:30 p.m. ET.

However, Porzingis' potential absence may present a significant challenge for the Mavericks, as the 7-foot-2 sharpshooter's presence on the court has been an important factor in their performance throughout the playoffs.

It remains to be seen whether Porzingis will be able to overcome his injury and join his team for Game 5. The decision will likely be made closer to game time, based on his ongoing efforts to recover and contribute to the Mavericks' title hopes.
