In response to this funding withdrawal, Kraft Heinz issued a statement to 7News, expressing their awareness of the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Clean Energy Demonstrations' unilateral decision. Despite this setback, the company reaffirmed its commitment to investing in its 30 U.S. manufacturing facilities.

A Kraft Heinz spokesperson highlighted their future plans, noting that the company aims to invest $3 billion over the next five years to modernize its U.S. supply chain infrastructure.
