**Kraft Heinz Responds to Federal Funding Loss for Energy Efficiency**

Kraft Heinz has addressed the recent loss of $22 million in federal funding intended to help its Lowville, New York plant improve energy efficiency. This funding cut is part of a broader $3.7 billion retraction by the Department of Energy, aimed at energy efficiency projects nationwide.

In response to this funding withdrawal, Kraft Heinz issued a statement to 7News, expressing their awareness of the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Clean Energy Demonstrations' unilateral decision. Despite this setback, the company reaffirmed its commitment to investing in its 30 U.S. manufacturing facilities.

A Kraft Heinz spokesperson highlighted their future plans, noting that the company aims to invest $3 billion over the next five years to modernize its U.S. supply chain infrastructure. The company emphasized that, despite the loss of federal funds, it will continue to advance energy efficiency projects as part of these substantial investments.
