**Jon Jones Defends Heavyweight Title with TKO Victory Over Stipe Miocic at UFC 309**

Jon Jones further solidified his place in UFC history by achieving a monumental victory over Stipe Miocic via a third-round TKO at UFC 309. This win marks Jones' first defense of the heavyweight title since claiming it in March 2023, when he triumphed over Ciryl Gane at UFC 285 in his heavyweight debut.

After his victory, Jones spoke with Joe Rogan and addressed speculation about his potential retirement. "I've decided that maybe I will not retire," Jones remarked, signaling his continued interest in fighting. However, he issued a stark warning to UFC President Dana White regarding his next opponent. White indicated that Jones' next fight would be against interim heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall. "If I give [Aspinall] the opportunity to fight me, I want to be well compensated," Jones stated. "I want that '(expletive)-you money,' honestly. Otherwise, my life is perfect. I don't need him, but he needs me."

In his appearance on "The Pat McAfee Show," White elaborated on the situation, asserting that Jones’ "only option" for his next fight would be against Aspinall, should Jones win against Miocic. White also dangled the possibility of a fight with Alex Pereira if Jones overcame Aspinall. "If Jon Jones retired on Saturday, Tom Aspinall would be the heavyweight champion," White said. "It's his obligation to give the younger guy that opportunity. But if he beats Tom Aspinall, then yes, we can explore other options. I would do the Alex Pereira fight."

Aspinall, who secured the interim title in 2023 after defeating Sergei Pavlovich at UFC 295, has successfully defended his title a year later by beating Curtis Blaydes in July 2024. Speaking on a potential match-up, White expressed his excitement, asserting that a fight between Jones and Aspinall "would be the biggest heavyweight fight in UFC history, by a long shot."

The anticipation builds as UFC fans await confirmation of what could be a historic fight in the making. Whether Jon Jones will continue to dominate the heavyweight division or if a rising star will dethrone him remains to be seen.
