**Joe Rogan Responds to Joy Behar's "Dragon Believer" Comment with Humor**
Joe Rogan, the well-known podcaster, had an unexpected reaction to a claim made by Joy Behar on her talk show, The View. According to Behar, Rogan believes in the existence of dragons, a statement she made while discussing the influence of political influencers and podcasters on young Americans.
During a recent episode of The View, Behar, alongside co-hosts Whoopie Goldberg, Sara Haines, Sunny Hostin, and Alyssa Farah Griffin, talked about a poll revealing many young Americans get their daily news from right-leaning influencers. Behar made a pointed remark, saying, “I think that's why people like our show, because they know that we are checked by ABC News... We went from Walter Cronkite, basically, to this guy Joe Rogan, who believes in dragons. I checked it... And he also thinks that they, dragons-like, I guess, dinosaur-type of animals, roamed the Earth when people did. So this is a type of really, really bad information that's going out there."
The clip of Behar's comment was shared on social media, where Rogan responded with a humorous six-word tweet and promised to update his bio on the platform in reaction to the claim. He later followed up by sharing a clip from a conversation with adventurer Forrest Galante, where they explored the concept of dragons in a more serious context. Rogan captioned the YouTube link, "Were dragons real animals?" clearly playing into the discussion with a mix of curiosity and jest.
Recently, Rogan had a discussion with fellow comedian Sam Tripoli on his podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience. In episode #2218, Rogan suggested a possible link between ancient dinosaur legends and dragons, hypothesizing that some prehistoric creatures, perhaps those with feathers, could have inspired these myths. Rogan mused, "It's so possible that something that flew like a pterodactyl... maybe they had feathers, maybe that was a giant predatory bird, and maybe some of those things looked like dragons.”
In highlighting how many ancient cultures have legends of dragons, Rogan speculated, “Think of all these different cultures, ancient, medieval Europe, China, Japan, all of them had dragons, there's so many dragons, it might have been a real thing...” He pointed out that the fire-breathing aspect of dragons seen today might be more of a cinematic invention.
Joe Rogan's reaction to Joy Behar's pointed remarks, as well as his deeper contemplation of historical dragon myths versus dinosaur remnants, emphasize his unique and often entertaining approach to controversial topics.
