Israeli's elite Egoz commando unit was involved in intense battles in southern Gaza, as depicted in a new video showing the unit's tactics against Hamas operatives. The footage, uploaded on Sunday, captured the aftermath of a prolonged gunfight in Khan Younis. Using grenades and a drone likened to a "Call of Duty"-esque scenario, the IDF commandos successfully located and neutralized two Hamas members hiding inside a building. This operation revealed a weapons cache that included Kalashnikov rifles, ammunition magazines, grenades, and explosives.
According to the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), the ongoing efforts in Khan Younis have resulted in the elimination of more than 12,000 Hamas operatives and the decimation of 18 out of the terror group's 24 battalions. The remaining factions continue to engage in battles in Central Gaza and Rafah, southern Gaza's most-populous city with over 1.4 million refugees. The IDF continues to work towards eradicating terror cells in southern Gaza amidst the complex and dangerous environment present in the region.
