### Inzaghi Uncertain About Future After Inter Milan's Humiliating Defeat to PSG
In a sobering press conference following Inter Milan's crushing 5-0 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final, coach Simone Inzaghi admitted uncertainty about his future with the club. This historic loss marks the widest margin of defeat for any team in the history of the European Cup final. The defeat sharply contrasts with Inter Milan's previously stellar Champions League run, which included memorable victories against high-caliber teams such as Arsenal, Bayern Munich, and Barcelona.
Reflecting on the season, Inzaghi expressed his disappointment but stopped short of making definitive statements about his tenure with Inter. "There's too much disappointment to talk about the future right now," he said. He emphasized the effort his team had put in: "We've given our all in 58 matches. We've gotten here from July 13th. So talking about the future now doesn't seem right to me."
Despite the crushing loss, Inzaghi hinted at a hopeful outlook for the club. He noted that Inter Milan is already preparing for the future with two new signings for next season. "We’re starting again from a strong club. They know they'll have to make more signings, but they've always been with us," Inzaghi pointed out, emphasizing the management’s continued support and pride in the team's journey through the season's 59 matches.
Inzaghi also acknowledged the disappointment felt by the fans, many of whom had expected to see their team conclude their Champions League journey on a high note. "We had a lot of fans come here hoping to crown the journey we’ve had, but as with two years ago, we didn't make it in the most important match," he lamented. However, he maintained a defiant tone, stressing the importance of resilience and a strong restart: "We'll think about it calmly and start again with conviction. Because finals leave their mark on you, and we'll have to start again stronger."
When asked directly whether he expects to continue as Inter Milan's coach at the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup next month, Inzaghi admitted his uncertainty. "I don't know how to answer that last question now. I came out here to speak out of politeness and respect because this is a loss that makes me sad. You come out of defeats stronger,” he added. “It seems like a cliché, but we've been through it before and then we won the league."
In the end, Inzaghi conceded the victory to PSG, recognizing their deserving performance. "There's bitterness. But we have to keep our heads up, knowing that we were up against a team that deserved to win," he concluded.
