The Indian cricket team has decided to cancel their practice session prior to the T20 World Cup 2024 final against South Africa, which is set to take place at the Kensington Oval in Barbados on Saturday. India's victory over England in the semi-final match on Thursday was marred by rain delays, resulting in the team having to travel straight to Barbados without a training session.

In a press release, the International Cricket Council (ICC) confirmed that India had canceled their training session, citing the team's tight schedule. It further mentioned that India conducted their pre-match press conference in Guyana and it will be released on Friday.

Meanwhile, South Africa, who outplayed Afghanistan in the first semi-final, will be holding an optional practice session as well as a pre-match media conference, according to the ICC. Their training session is scheduled to take place at the Kensington Oval from 14:00 to 17:00 local time, with the media conference set to happen at 13:00 local time.

However, the much-anticipated T20 World Cup 2024 final between India and South Africa could face challenges due to adverse weather conditions. Meteorological forecasts have warned of a high chance of rain and thunderstorms during the match. AccuWeather's weather forecast predicts 99 percent cloud cover and over 60 percent chance of rain during the game. The website also stated that the weather is expected to be mostly cloudy and humid, with breezy conditions in the morning followed by occasional rain and thunderstorms in the afternoon.

To account for these potential weather-related issues, a reserve day has been scheduled for Sunday in case the match cannot take place on Saturday. However, the forecasts also indicate the possibility of rain on Sunday as well, which could further hamper the final.

In the event that the match is not completed within the two days, both India and South Africa will be declared joint winners of the T20 World Cup 2024, with the trophy being shared between the two teams.

Cricket fans around the world eagerly await the outcome of this highly-anticipated clash, with hopes that the weather conditions do not overshadow the exciting finale of the tournament.
