A horse caused a stir in Philadelphia early Tuesday morning when it was spotted galloping down Interstate 95 near the Girard Avenue exit. Fortunately, the incident occurred before the morning traffic rush, minimizing the risk to both the animal and drivers on the road.

The police suspect that the horse may have fled from one of the city's urban riding clubs, as it did not appear to have escaped from a horse trailer. The animal was corralled in the Port Richmond section of Philadelphia without any major incidents.

Rescuers provided the horse with water and waited for its owner to arrive. Around 6:40 a.m., two men from the Fletcher Street Urban Riding Club came with a trailer to transport the horse back to safety. They mentioned that they had just purchased the horse and someone had accidentally let it escape.

Thankfully, the horse was unharmed and is expected to be okay after its unexpected adventure on the busy interstate. The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of securing animals properly while transporting them.
