Actor Zachery Ty Bryan, known for his role in "Home Improvement," was arrested in La Quinta, California on Saturday morning for a suspected DUI. The 42-year-old actor was booked into the John Benoit Detention Center on charges of felony DUI with at least three priors and misdemeanor contempt of court. This arrest marks Bryan's second DUI offense, with his previous DUI arrest occurring in May 2020. He pleaded guilty to the previous charge and was sentenced to five years of probation and 18 months of a multiple-offender alcohol program due to his past DUI arrests in 2004, 2007, and 2017.
Bryan is set to appear in court on April 23 in connection to the recent incident. Additionally, less than six months ago, the actor pleaded guilty to felony assault after an arrest in Eugene, Oregon in July. The incident involved a physical dispute with an adult female, resulting in Bryan pleading guilty to a felony assault charge. As part of his deal, he was sentenced to 36 months of supervised probation.
In October 2020, Bryan faced more legal trouble after being charged with felony strangulation, fourth-degree assault, coercion, menacing, harassment, and interference with making a police report following an incident with a woman he was romantically involved with. The actor ended up pleading guilty to misdemeanor menacing and fourth-degree assault and received a three-year probation sentence.
