In a moment filled with joy and excitement, Hezly Rivera, a talented gymnast from the World Olympics Gymnastics Academy (WOGA) in Plano, Texas, discovered that she would be part of the five-woman Olympic team representing the United States. At just 16 years and 26 days old, Rivera is currently the youngest member of all sports in the Team USA delegation set to compete in the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, France.

Rivera expressed her gratitude for being selected for the prestigious Olympic team, recognizing the sacrifices she has made to reach this milestone. She thanked God, her coaches, family, friends, and teammates for their support throughout her journey.

The star-studded team includes legendary gymnast Simone Biles, who boasts an impressive 37 Olympic and World medals. Reigning Olympic all-around champion Suni Lee, Olympic floor exercise gold medalist Jade Carey, and Olympic team silver medalist Jordan Chiles will also join Rivera in Paris. The talented team is completed by Rivera herself, a two-time 2023 Junior World silver medalist and the 2024 Winter Cup balance beam champion.

Despite being the youngest member, Rivera displayed a mature mindset throughout the competition. She approached each routine with the same focus and determination as any other meet, imagining herself alone on the beam or bars. Rivera credits this mindset for helping her stay calm and perform her best.
