In the push to secure starting positions on the Philadelphia Eagles' offensive line, Temple product Hennessy and NC State standout McMahon are vying for their chance to shine. Both players possess the skills and versatility to contribute to the team, but face stiff competition from their counterparts.

Hennessy, a mid-round draft projection, has an opportunity to demonstrate his abilities as he competes for the starting spot at right guard. However, he currently finds himself behind Tyler Steen and Mekhi Becton in the race. In addition to proving his worth, Hennessy will also need to show that he can stay healthy if he hopes to make the initial 53-man roster.

McMahon, on the other hand, boasts an impressive college career playing at multiple positions including center, left guard, and right guard. Standing at 6'3 and weighing 299 pounds, his most ideal fit is at center. With his explosiveness and agility, McMahon has the potential to make a strong impact once he adjusts to the physicality of the NFL.

The Eagles coaching staff recognizes the areas in which McMahon can further develop, aiming to increase his strength through additional weight room training. By adding bulk, McMahon will be better equipped to handle the challenges posed by formidable NFL defensive tackles.

While both Hennessy and McMahon have shown promise, they will need to prove their mettle and outperform their teammates to secure coveted starting spots. The Eagles' coaching staff is keen on giving them time to grow and develop alongside established players such as Jurgens.

Another player in contention for the center position is Toth. Having been on the Eagles' roster since 2019 with stints in Arizona and Carolina, Toth struggled with snapping in the shotgun formation during last year's training camp. As a result, he was demoted to third team left guard.

Toth's journey has seen its highs and lows, with him appearing in three games and starting one for the Panthers last season before being released. However, the Eagles welcomed him back to their practice squad and during spring practices, he was seen back at center. Presumably, Toth has honed his snapping skills during the offseason, determined to solidify his place in the team.

With the Eagles' offensive line working diligently to establish a formidable unit, the competition amongst Hennessy, McMahon, and Toth is heating up. As the team continues its preparations for the upcoming season, all three players will strive to prove their worth and secure their spot on the starting roster.
