### Barcelona Denied Clear Goal in Controversial VAR Decision, Says Hansi Flick
In a match filled with controversy, Barcelona manager Hansi Flick lamented the disallowed goal that could have altered the course of Sunday's La Liga match against Real Sociedad. The contentious moment arose when Robert Lewandowski's first-half effort was ruled offside by the narrowest of margins, leading to significant frustration for the Barcelona camp.
The disallowed goal, which VAR adjudged offside by a mere toenail, later proved to be a case of mistaken identity. It emerged that the VAR team had confused Lewandowski's boot with that of a defender, meaning the goal should have been awarded. Flick was unequivocal in his post-match comments, asserting that the officials had made an error. "It was the wrong decision from the VAR. It's a clear goal but we have to accept it. It was not our day today," he remarked.
Despite the evident frustration, Flick refrained from attributing the defeat solely to the VAR mistake. Instead, he urged his players to accept the result and focus on future challenges. "In the first half we suffered, the second half was better, but at the end we made the wrong decisions in the final third. We didn't have the strength to score goals today," Flick noted.
Flick's outlook remained positive as he addressed his team, emphasizing resilience and perseverance. "I said to the team we have to accept it, absolutely clear, but at the end we'll come back stronger," he concluded.
