### Georgia Tech Fans Storm Field After Major Upset Victory Over Miami

ATLANTA - Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets celebrated what is arguably their most significant triumph under coach Brent Key by defeating the No. 4 ranked Miami team on Saturday. This unexpected victory led to an outpouring of enthusiasm as both students and fans stormed the field in jubilation.

Interestingly, unlike some other schools, Georgia Tech won't have to worry about paying a hefty fine to their opponent for this outburst of spontaneous celebration. While there is no official NCAA rule mandating fines for field-storming, such regulations are determined by individual conferences.

In comparison, the Southeastern Conference enforces strict financial penalties for these acts, with initial fines set at $100,000, escalating to $250,000 for a second offense, and $500,000 for any subsequent violations. However, according to ESPN, the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC), to which Georgia Tech belongs, does not impose similar fines or other sanctions for fans rushing the field. Instead, the ACC has established safety protocols to ensure the safe exit of visitors and referees from the field.

Georgia Tech fans will relish this sweet victory a bit longer, courtesy of a bye week. The Yellow Jackets are set to return to Bobby Dodd Stadium for their final home game of the season against North Carolina State next Thursday.
