**Georgia Bulldogs Climb to No. 8 in Latest AP Poll After Triumph Over Tennessee**

ATHENS - The Georgia Bulldogs have surged back into the AP Poll Top 10, securing the No. 8 spot for Week 13 after a decisive 31-17 victory against Tennessee on Saturday. The Bulldogs had previously been ranked No. 11 but made a striking move up the rankings. Meanwhile, Tennessee, which entered the game ranked No. 6, fell to No. 10 following the loss.

Quarterback Carson Beck showcased his talent in what could be considered his best performance as a Bulldog, amassing 347 passing yards and throwing two touchdowns. He also added a rushing touchdown to bolster his team's offense.

Regarding Beck's performance, Georgia coach Kirby Smart was emphatic in his praise. "I've been very consistent, even with some of the dumbest questions in the world, no offense, about our quarterback, because we see him every day," Smart remarked. "He gets judged on outcomes and stats, but we don't judge based on that. We judge based internally on what gives us the best chance to win. I'm never going to falter over what I see with my eyes. What I see with my eyes is a guy that's really good in the pocket. He's got poise, he's got composure. He puts us in the right play over and over again and makes good decisions."

With this victory, Georgia improved its season record to 8-2 and completed its journey through SEC play, ending with a 6-2 conference record. The team's notable victories include wins against Tennessee and No. 3 Texas, while its losses were against No. 7 Alabama and No. 9 Ole Miss, both on the road.

Though their fate in this year’s SEC championship remains uncertain, with Texas and Texas A&M still in contention with only one conference loss each, Georgia isn’t letting up. Texas and Texas A&M are scheduled to face each other on Nov. 30, which could determine the SEC championship dynamics.

With two games left in the regular season, Georgia's focus now shifts to UMass. "I mean, everybody thinks we should win every game," Smart noted. "I'm very proud of our team. If you told me that this group would be this resilient, I would probably say I don't doubt it, because they're great kids. And they played the toughest schedule in our league, and we still got two games left of tough teams. Georgia Tech's been a great team, and UMass has played three or four SEC teams already."

The Bulldogs will take on UMass this Saturday, with kickoff scheduled for 12:45 p.m. ET on SEC Network.

The next set of College Football Playoff rankings will be released on Tuesday, adding another layer of anticipation as the season progresses.
