The recently released trailer provides a glimpse into the life of Josh Rivera, who portrays Hernandez in the series. The narrative spans from his high school football career to his time at the University of Florida, culminating in his three seasons with Tom Brady's New England Patriots, including a Super Bowl appearance. "American Sports Story" is based on the highly acclaimed podcast "Gladiator: Aaron Hernandez and Football Inc." from The Boston Globe and Wondery.
