**Tornado Strikes Fort Myers as Hurricane Milton Moves Closer**

FOX Weather's Brandy Campbell reported encountering signs of significant destruction from a probable tornado in Fort Myers, Florida, on Wednesday afternoon. Campbell observed damaged areas along Daniels Parkway, where the road was lined with large, snapped trees and scattered debris.

The powerful tornado was a part of a series of twisters that swept across the region, instigated by the outer bands of Hurricane Milton. The hurricane’s bands brought intense rainfall, strong winds, and multiple tornadoes to Florida ahead of its anticipated landfall.

Hurricane Milton is projected to hit the west-central coast of Florida between late Wednesday and early Thursday morning. The severity of the storm has heightened concerns as Florida's I-75 also experienced the impact of the tornadoes spawned by the hurricane.
