A flight attendant involved in the incident that led to NFL Hall of Famer Terrell Davis being removed from a United Airlines plane in handcuffs has been confirmed as no longer being employed by the airline, United revealed to CNN. This development comes after Davis received an emailed letter notifying him of being placed on the airline's "no fly" list following the July 13 encounter. The ban on Davis has since been lifted after it was initially communicated to the football star and his team via email and rescinded the following day. Davis, who was en route to a vacation with his family in California, was disheartened after being wrongfully removed from the flight when he had simply tapped a flight attendant's arm to ask for a cup of ice. The flight attendant lodged a report leading to the ban, but is no longer in the employ of United. Davis, through his attorney, expressed dismay at the airline's handling of the situation, implying that there is a dire need for leadership overhaul at United. Davis plans to take legal action against the airline moving forward.
