### NBCUniversal Announces Opt-Out Options for Targeted Advertising

NBCUniversal is enhancing its user experience by allowing more personalized control over online ads. According to their Privacy Policy, online ad partners might combine personal information with data from other businesses, which could be classified as "selling" or "sharing/processing" personal information.

For residents in certain states, as detailed in the 'Your Rights' section of NBCUniversal's Privacy Policy, there is an option to opt out of these targeted advertising practices. To do this, users need to disable the toggle switch to gray by moving it left and then confirm their choice. It's important to open the email Opt-Out Form first before closing the dialogue box.

For individuals not residing in the specified states, the opt-out choice will not take effect even if the toggle button is turned off. Users in these regions will still see advertisements; however, these ads may not be as relevant and will only be based on NBCUniversal's first-party information.

Additionally, users need to set their advertising preferences on each website or application and for each browser or device they use. Users also need to renew their preferences if they clear their cookies. To change precise geolocation permissions for NBCUniversal's mobile apps, users can adjust the settings on their mobile devices.

For opting out of the use of email and other personal information for targeted ads, users should complete an Opt-Out Form. Further details can be found in the Cookie Notice, accessible through the Privacy Policy menu settings page.
